Join Pauline Willis, Director and CEO of the AFA, at our annual Day of Art. This year, the AFA will be hosting a day in Hudson Valley featuring celebrated private collections, lunch, and studio visits.

Highlights from our Day of Art include:

Exclusive Tour of Magazzino Italian Art Foundation
We will start our day at Magazzino for a special tour with Executive Director, Vittorio Calabrese and co-founds Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu. The foundation is devoted to Italian Postwar and Contemporary Art with an extensive library and archive. Magazzino also partners with local organizations to bring rich programming to the Cold Spring community.

Collection Visit and Lunch at the home of Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu
We will have the opportunity to visit the home of Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu, founders of Magazzino Italian Art, and tour their private collection.

Doug and Mike Starn Studio Visit
The day ends with a visit to the studio of artists and brothers, Doug and Mike Starn. Working across photography, printmaking, and sculptural installations, their work poses questions about existence and its central primacy in our lives. Today, the Starns’ works are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, and the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, among others.

Please note: Itinerary is subject to change. Guests will be provided shuttle transportation. We will meet at the AFA offices at 305 East 47th Street. Business casual attire recommended.

*Ticket price includes shuttle transportation and lunch. $50 is a tax-deductible donation to the AFA. Space is limited.
