AFA members are invited to a private tour of Gordon Matta-Clark & Pope.L : Impossible Failures at 52 Walker, led by Ebony L. Haynes, Senior Director at David Zwirner.
52 Walker, David Zwirner’s new gallery, will feature Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978) and Pope.L (b. 1955) for its sixth exhibition.
Impossible Failures is comprised of drawings and films created by each artist, as well as a new site-specific installation by Pope.L, presented in partnership with Mitchell-Innes & Nash, New York. The exhibition emphasizes both artists’ focus on the problematic nature of architecture, language, institutions, and perceived value.
