Join us for an exclusive tour of Louise Despont: Energy Scaffolds and Information Architecture, and Jennifer Bartlett: Hospital at The Drawing Center. The tour will be guided by Executive Director, Brett Littman.

Louise Despont
Louise Despont, a contemporary artist who lives and works in New York and Bali, is best known for using compasses, stencils and rulers to create intricate and deeply meditative drawings on ledger paper. On the occasion of Despont’s first solo museum exhibition, The Drawing Center has commissioned a new site-specific architectural installation and several series of large-scale drawings that have been influenced by her recent relocation to Bali.

Jennifer Bartlett
Pastels have acted as a sort of travelogue for Bartlett, with various series referencing places she has lived in or traveled to. With Hospital, the first museum exhibition of her 2012 series, Bartlett continues her long-established practice of close observation and responsiveness to her environment, but this time turns her attention to interior spaces and window views rather than landscapes, gardens, and atmospheric conditions.
