AFA members are invited to a private tour of Focus 2022: Landscape Undone at the Armory Show, led by Carla Acevedo-Yates, Focus curator and curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
This year’s Focus Section highlights Latin American and Latinx art with solo and two artist presentations. These works delve into the intersectionality of issues surrounding the environment, race, and gender, and the ways in which these factors impact personal and political climates. The works in Landscape Undone go beyond the natural elements of a landscape and explore the built environment that is both physical and psychological, using abstraction, various materials, and multiple perspectives.
Focus 2022 features artists represented by 32 international galleries, including Ruiz-Healy Art, owned by AFA trustee Patricia Ruiz-Healy.
