Join the AFA for a private tour of Americans in Paris: Artists Working in Postwar France, 1946-1952 at the newly reopened Grey Art Museum.

Six years in the making, this is the first major exhibit to explore the influence of the post-World War II expatriate art scene in Paris. From artists like Ellsworth Kelly to Norman Bluhm, the post-war years in France saw expatriate art circles flourish. Americans in Paris draws on the works of 70 artists who experimented with form and style during these years, created “Salons” with fellow creatives, and both immersed themselves in, and came up against the pre-existing French artistic traditions.
