Tour of The Dan Flavin Institute led by Heiner Friedrich

Established in 1983 as a permanent installation of Flavin’s work, this renovated firehouse holds a permanent installation of nine works in fluorescent light created by the artist between 1963 and 1981, and a gallery for changing exhibitions.

Private visit of Joa Baldinger and Heiner Friedrich’s home immediately following the tour.

Artist Studio Visits

Bastienne Schmidt is a mixed media artist working with photography, painting and large-scale drawings. Her art work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the International Center of Photography; the Brooklyn Museum; the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, among others.

Philippe Cheng is a photographer and artist with studios in New York City and Bridgehampton. His work can be found in many private collections and has been exhibited by Guild Hall and the Parrish Art Museum. His landscape book, Still, The East End Photographs was published in 2015.
