Join the AFA for a VIP tour of Jorge Palacios at The Noguchi Museum, which Hyperallergic and Vulture list among their must-see shows of the Fall!  We will be joined by Senior Curator, Dakin Hart, and the artist, Jorge Palacios.

The sculptures of Jorge Palacios (b. 1979, Spain)—often smooth, wooden, and abstract—explore the laws of physics and motion on microscopic and macroscopic levels. Integrated into the museum’s permanent installation, Palacios’s works bring renewed attention to Noguchi’s frequent experiments with the physical sciences, as well as with turning art-viewing into a physical experience.

Palacios’s sculptures have been widely shown in public spaces, where they can interact with the elements.  Most recently, his sculpture Link (2018) was on view in New York City’s Flat Iron plaza.  Other installations include in New York’s SoHo, where he exhibited Sketch in the Air (2015); several installations throughout Spain; various museums worldwide; and private and public collections in Canada, Switzerland, Spain, and the United States. Palacios divides his time between his studio in New York City and his workshop in Spain.
